A breaking patent will change the world.

Sony invented a technique that aiming ultrasonic pulses at specific areas of the brain can induce "sensory experiences" such as smells, sounds and images. The pulsed ultrasonic signal alters the neural timing in the cortex. Supposed you are playing videogame, you can smell, taste, touch, or help the "people" in the game. In real world, the blind or deaf will see and listen again.

One day, robots will have the same feeling and reaction as humankind do. And their capabilities will surpass human's. Just as shown by the film: "Terminator 3", we have to manufacture a super warrior to protect us.

Technology will change the world, nobody can stop this process.

What stimulate IT's burgeon?

I raised a question in our last weeks' CIS class: why do we hail the convergency these years, but this goal has never been implemented? Everybody say we should do this and that, but nobody notice what is the stimuli that makes those technology happen.

The lab might be the birthplace of new technologies, but their authentic parents should be law and creative destruction of capitalism. We have adequate technical expertises and powerful research facilities. But these are NOT sufficient for technology burgeoning. The business law and barriers are lagging the whole development process.

We need more powerful leaders to revolutionize the entire world , and to think deeply to make it a better place for living. I do not want to see that our outlook 2006's slogan would be " convergence", because it has been yelled at many years and should be done. If not, Donald Trump will say" you are fired!"
